Butchdesign is a design office providing a complete service of naval architecture and marine engineering. The office has designed a number of new yachts, such as the 48m sloop Georgia (in conjunction with Glade Johnson and Paolo Scanu) and managed the technical aspects of refits such as the 75m schooner Phocea, they also provide engineering advice & design for helidecks, stabilisers, MCA compliance, specifications, piping systems, forensic engineering (accident investigation), classification issues, etc. Due to their practical experience, they are generally able to find the least expensive and most practical solutions that are simple and efficient. Their special expertise is classic and traditional yachts but clients include the French navy (for stability work and docking plans) as well as yachts of all sizes and their tenders.
