This impeccably maintained and pristine boatyard/marina is snugged into the well protected bay of Stonington, Connecticut, a beautifully situated harbor at the eastern most end of Long Island Sound. Its convinient location offers the easiest in and out access to Block Island, as well as Fisher’s Island, Newport, Martha’s Vineyard and the Elizabeth Islands. Dodson Boatyard has complete maintenance and service facilities for power and sail boats. As a full service marina, Dodson Boat Yard offers dock space, moorings, launch service, fuel, showers, pumpout, a chandlery, laundromat, parking, book exchange and a restaurant. The Dodson Boat Sales office is located on site.

Shipyard services: Full service and immaculate shipyard offering keel to masthead maintenance, extensive refit, repair and storage services. In-house year round team of 37 highly qualified and certified technicians, most of them working in the company for many years, and experts in mechanical, electronic, refrigeration, heating, A/C, rigging, fiberglass, painting, varnishing and spray painting (Awlgrip) services, stainless steel fabrication. Facility includes: 50t Travelift (11’ draft), 60t Brownell hydraulic trailer, 15t Travelift forklift, wet, outdoor and indoor boat storage, mast storage. Storage facilities and sheds equipped with state of the art recycling and waste management systems, most of them ideally located 3.2 miles off I95 toward Newport. Constant and transparent communication with yacht owners who highly appreciate the professionalism, honesty and integrity of this operation.

The facility is ideally located within walking distance from the historic Stonington village, rated as “the most beautiful seaside village in New England.” Wonderful restaurants, bustling bar, coffee shops, delis, sophisticated boutiques and art galleries are just a pleasant stroll away. This highly professional operation is widely renowned for its friendly and welcoming ambiance. Owner Bob Snyder can be proud of being a pioneer in maintaining a waste free environment, and the facility has officially achieved status as a Connecticut Clean Marina.
