More about us...

This authentic 18th century colonial house nested in a tropical park offers a great opportunity to ‘go back in time’. Once a 200 acre coffee plantation, it is now a museum showing original coffee artifacts from around the world - tastefully displayed - and the elegant simplicity of the family fine Mahogany furnishings help create a most charming atmosphere. It is a nice place to visit, offering panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. Beausejour also features a charming restaurant and a lounge opened on the beautifully landscaped garden where jasmine, hibiscus and alamanda grow among an abundance of mango, grapefruit or lime trees. Lunches can be served upon reservation at their ‘table d’hotes’, where guests can enjoy simple dishes using local produce. They are open every day except Mondays from 1000-1700hrs. La Cafeire Beausejour is located in Basse Terre, at Pointe Noire, in the mountain of the national park; one hours drive from Deshaies, or 20 minutes from Malendure (where the Cousteau diving park is).
