Newport is home to the first polo club in America, where the 130 year old tradition continues today. The International Polo Series takes place on the grounds of Glen Farm in Portsmouth, every Sat at 5pm from June to the end of September. Matches are open to the public and are one of Newport’s favorite attractions and social venues. Guests of all ages are captivated by the exhilarating and upbeat vibe of the sport. Tickets are available at the gate on the day of the match, and tailgate picnics are welcome, either in a casual lawn setting or a more formal box setting with linen tables. Private and group polo lessons are also available.
