Shine yachts offers polishing as a viable alternative to a complete re-spray on dulled paintwork. The company has developed a multi stage system aiming at restoring and protecting topcoat paint. The results are generally impressive and are guaranteed for one season, after which time a new topcoat of polish is applied. At about 10 to 20 % of the cost of a complete hull re-spray, the system is economically attractive; yachts can be polished in the water.
