Iles de Lérins

Just a short ride from Cannes stand the two gorgeous islands of St Marguerite and St Honorat, both covered by eucalyptus and pine forests. St Marguerite is the largest, (3km long and 900m wide) and home of Fort Royal where the ‘man in the iron mask’ was imprisoned. It hosts several restaurants, and a boat yard. St Honorat, smaller and less touristy is occupied by an active monastery dating from the 10th century. Both islands are car-free, and have a network of walking trails.

Mougins
Situated on the heights of Cannes, the old village of Mougins is very charming and home of numerous excellent restaurants including the famous Moulin de Mougin.
Grasse
Perched a few min drive from Cannes and Antibes, Grasse is known as the perfume capitol of the world. The medieval old town is oozing with Mediterranean charm. Make sure to stop at Le Péché Gourmand for a unique and delightful experience (see ‘Where to eat’).
