Alpha Beta Supermarkets is one of the earliest and most well established supermarket chain stores in Greece. Products tend to be slightly more superior, especially in more up market areas. They offer a wide range of Greek and foreign products, deli produce and a very good selection of wines, spirits and champagnes for a supermarket.
Alpha Beta is a taxi ride away on the Rhodes-Lindos road, but it is well worth a visit to stock up on slightly better quality products.
Small supermarket which also sells a good range of Pakistani and Indian spices, curry mixes & rice, lentils ethnic products etc.
Situated behind Australias street, amongst the mechanics shops.
Apparently they sell very good products.........and they also have cricket bats!!!!!

Well alot of people are going to be disappointed to find that the old Pappou department store just behind the post office on the mandraki has now closed down. This was very handy for basic goods, and also that it sold a wonderful range of foreign products, especially chinese and eastern goods. However, their new premises is not far away on Canada Street, a reasonable easy walk and close to a taxi stand at Agios Nikoloas square. It is still a good supermarket, and sells the same produce-probably with more of a selection for food produce than before.
Supermarket Spanos is a short taxi ride away from the downtown harbours, and is a very well stocked supermarket for all tinned, dried, and fresh produce. They also sell a few more exotic eatern items and pataks curry etc. A fairly good selection of cheese and deli meats, plus they have a very popular take away food service counter. The supermarket covers three floors and sells all basic cleaning and kitchen equipment. Kitchen ware and an odd assortment of necessities for the household and garden. All in all a very good supermarket.
Importers of first class wines and spirits-Marinos has 2 stores in Rhodes, one very close to Colona Harbour on Ermou Street {in through the main castle gate and take a right}, and the other on 28th October street closer to the Mandraki.
The store on Ermou really is a Cave, dark and cool with an excellant choice of wines spirits and champagnes.
Somewhere to buy what cannot be found in the supermarket.
If you are in Rhodes on a market day, then please make a visit, as many people come from all over the island to sell their produce and it really is quality seasonal fruit, veg, and some fresh fish.

Carrefour have joined up with Marinopolous supermarkets in Greece. the nearest store to the harbour is a short taxi ride away on Ethnikis Antistasis Street. However, do not get too excited about the supermarket, as the products are quite basic compared to what you would normally expect to find.
Mandala restaurant and bar is set on a lovely open terrace with flowers, vines, good music and a great atmosphere. The food is a bit different than the normal Greek menu, offering Italian and Asian inspired food, and good steaks. The staff are pretty laid back-but thats the whole ethos of the place!
They often have live music. This is actually the ex popeyes bar.
