Shining Sea Bikewayis a wonderful paved 11.5 mile bike path that starts from Falmouth’s north end and follows the waterfront to the ferry terminal in Woods Hole. The only bikeway on Cape Cod that runs along the seashore.
Easily accessible by foot or bike from Falmouth center or marinas (heading west), Beebe Woods (located on Beebe Acres Rd) is a 650 acre estate featuring trails, ponds and woods.
The trail winds up to Peterson's Farm, off Woods Hole Rd, which maintains public paths through meadows and fields, where sheep and llama roam.
Located with walking distance from MacDougalls’ marina, Falmouth Heights, on Vineyard Sound is a beautiful beach known for its warm water and stunning views on Martha’s Vineyard.
A short walking distance from Hyannis Marina is the wonderful Bay View Beach. Kalmus and Veteran beaches, located on the Lewis Bay at the end of Ocean St, are also local favorites.
Cape Cod boasts some of the steadiest and strongest winds in New England, making it a first class windsurfing and kitesurfing destination. The town of Dennis has two designated kiteboarding areas: Chapin Beach and Mayflower Beach. Located on Buzzards Bay, in Falmouth West, Chapaquoit Beach in Falmouth is considered one of the best windsurfing spots on the entire coast. Old‘s Silver Beach is one of Falmouth more popular beaches and also a great windsurfing spot. In Hyannis, Kalmus Beach is a one of the best locations for kitesurfing/windsurfing on Cape Cod.
Provincetown: Bike or walk to Race Point beach and the light house.
The Cape Cod Provincelands Trail is a 5.25 mile long bicycle and walking trail that begins at the Province Lands Visitor Center on Race Point Road. It is a hilly loop and connects to several other trails such as Bennett Pond, Herring Cove Beach, and Race Point Beach.
The calm and warm water of Herring Cove Beach makes it the most popular beach in Provincetown. Perfect for swimming even for children.
