The 16th century fortress dominating the Port Vauban can be visited only on guided tours in French or English. The interesting tour lasts about 30min, and the view from the fort on Antibes and the Alps on the other side is just breathtaking. The Fort is surrounded by a 4 acres park open to the public. After escaping from the Island of Elba, in 1815, Napoleon landed at Golf Juan where begins the Route Napoleon related to the "100 days of Napoleon". This museum displays an interesting collection of paintings, sculpture and other memorabilia from Napoleon’s era.
