Theo and Constance run this family owned fish restaurant, which has a wonderful setting under the grapevine in one of the nicest squares in the old town. It is probably one of the best fish and seafood restaurants in Rhodes and well known to visiting yachts.
Always a popular choice for guests or crew.
Alexis Taverna is an Old Town institution, specialising in fish and seafood.
Somehow this restaurant is always supplied with nothing but the best fish, and has its own organic vegetable garden.
The menu is that little bit more special with some elaborate dishes, which is reflected in the price.
The inside has wonderful decor.
On one of the most attractive winding streets in the Old Town is the Marco Polo Mansion, a boutique Hotel that has the essence of the past with the convenience of the present. The mansion has a small number of rooms, each individually decorated with traditional furniture, carpets and drapes making a romantic atmosphere from a bygone age. The interior courtyard is delightful, filled with blooming flowers and plants, offering that intoxicating aroma which is Greece. Breakfast is served here and in the evening the garden restaurant is open to a small number of non residents.
Auzzie Greek brothers George, Manni and Nick own what is without doubt 'the' ex-pat bar in Rhodes Old Town. Well known with all the local residents, and a place that tourists come back to every year for its welcoming atmosphere. They serve great pizzas, snacks and drinks at reasonable prices.
If you happen to be looking for crew or day workers this is the place to find them!
This is a large fish shop { Psaria Aigaiou} located across from the city's main cemetery, close to the Saturday market. The quality of fish can be variable, but regular arrivals mean that the chances of obtaining decent fish are fairly good. The attached restaurant area serves bbq fish and fresh salads. Expect basic service-plastic chairs and tables, but good honest food; it is strictly a local affair with a great atmosphere.
Choose your fish from the shop and they will cook it there and then.
Mandala restaurant and bar is set on a lovely open terrace with flowers, vines, good music and a great atmosphere. The food is a bit different than the normal Greek menu, offering Italian and Asian inspired food, and good steaks. The staff are pretty laid back-but thats the whole ethos of the place!
They often have live music. This is actually the ex popeyes bar.
