This popular and friendly cafe is run by the lovely Elma and Vangelis. Situated directly on the harbour side, they take advantage of the morning shade to serve the best breakfast and lunch on Kastellorizo. Favorites include fruit salad with yoghurt and honey, fresh juice and well presented toasties, sandwiches and snacks. Also poular in the evening for drinks, ice cream - wonderful music and a nice ambience. There is also a computer available to use free of charge and wifi.
They also have a small carpentry business making furniture from reclaimed wood.
One of the best and most popular restaurants on the island. Superb home cooked Greek food, fish and shellfish.
Hard to beat for quality and price. They also have a very good wine selection.
Friendly family owned taverna, book ahead to ensure a table harbour side.
Our personal favorite!
One of the oldest and best known restaurants for visiting yachts, situated right by the small yacht quay. Many of the yachts that moor there eat in this restaurant making it very busy and popular. Good fish and seafood, home cooked Greek dishes with a good wine selection.
Book your table early to ensure the best table and ambience.
Wifi is available.
Another restaurant by the yacht quay; this is also popular with the visiting yachts. Good seafood and fresh fish amongst other dishes.
Situated on the square at the top of the hill next to the Church of Constantinos and Eleni; this open air restaurant under the eucalypyus trees is better known as Mediterraneo, after the Italian movie, which was filmed on the island.
Very good home cooked Greek food.
This square is the main venue for the Island's festivals-so book a table well in advance during one of these events.
A very nice restaurant owned and run by Damien & Monika. The Olive Garden is set back in the little square under a shady grapevine.
They offer a wide choice of salads, Greek food and more european dishes, specialities include goat and lamb cooked in the oven, as well as grilled meat and kebabs on the BBQ. They also cook good pizzas on special nights.
The adjoining shop sells some lovely gifts and house decor, such as lamps, ceramics, mirrors etc.
The restaurant also has wifi.
Fantastic fish and seafood restaurant owned by a local fisherman Kosta, and run by the family.
Fishing several times a week ensures the best catch.
They also offer a range of meat and pasta dishes. Lovely display and presentation of food.
Very friendly and busy restaurant right on the harbourside.
Eden Rock evolved from an imaginatively sited house built more than fifty years ago by local adventurer Remy De Haenen, to become a few years later the first hotel on the island. Part of the prestigious ‘Relais et Chateaux’ group, this delightful resort is set on a rock, right above the water in the Baie de Saint-Jean on the edge of a perfect long white sandy beach. It also has two fine restaurants (one on the beach, and one on top of 'the rock' with a view)... that also came highly recommended (reservations requested).
Renowned establishment on a quiet road, 1.5 km from the town’s center. Corsican family fare using vegetables and herbs from the kitchen garden. Advance booking compulsory.
They also have a very nice 2 star hotel onsite, with spacious guestrooms and studios in a peaceful setting. Superb view of the upper town and cliffs. (See 'Where to Stay')
