Novosail

Innovative sail cleaning loft, part of a chain of three outlets (Germany, UK, Spain) offering a fully automated sail cleaning and barrier coating re-impregnation service. Sails are fed flat through the magic cleaning machine, where they are soaked and washed before being recoated with protective chemicals thermally fixed to the sailcloth. Novosail has recently expanded its cleaning and impregnation service beyond the yachting arena and can handle all canvasses (such as covers and awnings) as well as protective clothing (wetsuits, security equipment etc). Pricing is very competitive.

Marine Survey Bureau / Non Destructive Examination (MSB/ NDE)

MSB is managed by Roby Scalvini, an experienced surveyor, recognized and accredited by most professional Surveyors Associations. MSB is also the Lloyds representative in Palma. Alongside all their traditional survey operations (valuation, tonnage, insurance, damage repair etc.), MSB has opened a new company, NDE, which specializes in marine surveying with the assistance of non-invasive, high tech, inspection methods. These include Thermal Imaging, Ultrasound, Laser Shearography, and Video Endoscopy.

Christopher Rothwell

A member of the IIMS and of the YDSA, Chris Rothwell is accredited to carry out a whole range of surveys, from plain insurance to MCA code compliance, via evaluation surveys etc. He is appreciated as a good, independent surveyor.

Astilleros de Mallorca

A full service shipyard specializing in the refit of larger yachts at the heart of Palma harbour; situated next to the Club Real Nautico. Four slipways for yachts of up to 80 meters and 1600 ton displacement; 220 meters of docks reserved for yachts undergoing refits. Designated mast storage area. STP Servicios Tecnicos Portuarios

Palma’s largest shipyard is situated on the south side of Palma harbour, a few hundred meters from the Cathedral. STP is the heart of Palma’s yacht refit industry and offers facilities for yachts of all sizes and displacement. There are 5 travel lifts, handling boats of up to 750 tons metric and 90 meters LOA. 50,000 square meters hard standing area, 6 pits for deep-keeled sailing yachts, water and electricity supply (up to 400 amps) as well as grey water sewage facilities.

Audax Marina

Small Shipyard affiliated to the Club Real Nautico operating a 60-ton travel lift for yachts of up to 25 meters. Most services are provided in house. Centrally located, right in the heart of the harbour with all facilities at hands' reach. A nice and pleasant tidy little shipyard with good facilities.
