One of the first marinas in Newport, once a host for the America’s Cup yachts, it is a favorite for distinctive guests and professionally crewed yachts. The docks are located away from the summer bustle, behind a quaint white fence, at the very end of the historic 18th century Bannister’s Wharf. Owner and boat lover David Ray masterfully restored this charming place years ago to create the feel of a bygone era, and is co-sponsor of the Candy Store Cup Superyacht Regatta along with Newport Shipyard. The entire Wharf has a unique enchanting feel and is the vibrant heart of Newport, gathering visitors and locals alike. Dockmaster Jim McCarthy and his team offer a very dedicated service.
