A growing number of Superyachts are now choosing to stop in Martinique specifically to take advantage of this first class facility and the expertise of its team. Incidences has the largest sail loft in the whole Caribbean, located within the superb Artimer complex, next to Le Marin marina. In their 600 m loft, they can fabricate or repair sails with no limits in size. The loft itself is positioned alongside a large dinghy dock, and a custom crane has been installed at the end of the loft to enable them to lift sails directly from the yacht's tender... and up into the loft, for service (the channel for access by tender, has been dredged to 1.4 metres, and is 12 metres wide). They can also come to pick up the sail directly to the yacht, wherever based in Le Marin bay. The other end of the loft is open to a large concrete delivery area - so whether coming via car or boat... they can accommodate you with ease.
Herve Lepault is the friendly gentleman behind the wheel, whose reputation of excellence goes far beyond Martinique. With over 30 year of experience, he can really handle any size job and find solution to any problem. Herve employs 12 sail / canvas makers, all of whom have been with him for over 10 years, and are each specialist in their own field... covers, sails, biminis, dodgers etc. They have 12 sewing machines; 3 for heavy duty Superyacht sails, and one dedicated for spinnakers. They also have another loft at Trois Ilets (close by Marina du Bakoua), where they look after all the canvas / bimini / awnings / cushions / interior works... of which, they have been doing a lot with numerous large motor and sailing yachts this past season.
