Located along the East Bay of Rhode Island, Maloney Interiors LLC is a full service yacht & residential interior design firm servicing clients along the East Coast. Maloney Interiors’ projects include new home construction, renovations & additions, as well as new construction and refit designs for both power & sailing yachts. Principal Designer Ally Maloney has a fresh approach to design and is noted for her “arsenal of technical knowledge and a keen aesthetic vision”. Trained as both an interior designer and yacht designer, she has an impressive resume consisting of yachts ranging from 30’ to 281’, and several years spent working alongside world-renown yacht designer Ted Hood Sr. & Derecktor Shipyard. Maloney Interiors specializes in the fabrication of custom upholstery and soft goods including mattresses, settees, cushions, bedding & linens, pillows, drapes, blinds & hatch shades, carpeting & runners, lighting, artwork & outfitting, cabinetry design, and canvas enclosures.

Owner and designer, Ally Maloney holds an accredited Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, as well as a certificate in Yacht & Boat Design from Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology. She is an allied member of ASID, the American Society of Interior Designers, and is a Co-Chair of the ASID Rhode Island Design Community. Ally is also a member of the Rhode Island Builder's Association, Professional Women in Building, and the PVD Lady Project.
Ally has worked for Derecktor Shipyard as a joinery engineer during the build of M/Y Cakewalk. She spent four years apprenticing, then later working for world renowned sailor and yacht designer Ted Hood before opening Maloney Interiors LLC.
