Owned and managed by the Ocibar Group, the aptly named Marina of S'Altra Banda (The Other Side) lies on the north shore of the port of Mahon inlet. It is unusual in the sense that the marina consists of a scattering of pontoons and jetties, some with no shore link, built on a good few kilometres of coastline. The marina is currently being upgraded and all berths will eventually be connected to electricity and water. The 130 berths on pontoons in Cala Llonga have already been upgraded and connected to the grid. The marina setting is pretty and the location only a quick tender hop from town. Booking is essential in season and like anywhere in Mahon, mooring space comes at a premium.
