Cassis

Charming little fishing village- one of the prettiest on the Coast- located only a few minutes’ drive from La Ciotat, toward Marseille. Wide choice of good restaurants lined up on the waterfront, as well as nice shops. Cassis is overseen by France’s highest coastal cliffs and is famous for its extraordinary Calanques, some kind of rocky fjords with crystalline water, probing deep into the coastline.  One of the prettiest is Calanque d’En-Vau, accessible by sea or by a 90 minute walk from the car park above. 

La Cadiere d’Azur

Perched on a hill, this small medieval village has retained it authentic identity and benefits from a breathtaking panorama. There are superb walks in the area around the village. It is home of the Hostellerie Berard, the gorgeous hotel/restaurant/spa. The village is located around 20 min drive from La Ciotat.

Le Castellet

Located on the other side of La Cadiere d’Azur, this is one of the most ravishing feudal hilltop villages in the region. It is surrounded by pine forests and overlooks the renowned and famous Bandol (AOC) vineyard.
