It has been a very busy year for Carenantilles, the first-class shipyard located in the south part of Martinique. 

The team have performed over 900 haul outs in 2017, including around 40 with their 440 Ton Travelift. 

Several prestigious super yachts completed a maintenance stop in Carenantilles and the captains were really impressed by the quality of the facility and the professionalism of the shipyard’s team. Please read our previous article about Rox Star, a 131ft /40m sail yacht. 

One of the challenges of owning a catamaran is finding a boatyard with a travelift that can accommodate its width. Carenantilles operates the largest Travelift in the Caribbean and can haul out yachts up to 164ft (50m) long, 43ft (13m) wide and max draft 14ft (4 m). More details here. 

Carenantilles is located in Le Marin, at the head of a deep, well-protected bay, and a natural hurricane hole. Several large ferries, damaged during hurricanes this past September, were thrilled to be able to find such a well-equipped and responsive boatyard to undertake intensive and crucial repairs. 

Carenantilles is a family-run business, managed by father and son Jean Louis and Arthur de Lucy. Their welcoming and dedicated team provides attentive and personable services to their guests. The charming town of Le Marin, with restaurants, bars and shops, is an easy dinghy ride or short drive away, as is the modern, first class Marina du Marin.
