The splendid Gorges du Loup, cutting from the Pre-Alps to the sea, offer many canyoning and hiking opportunities. Funtrip is a very well reviewed adventure centre, based in Tourettes-sur-Loup. La Gravette is the beach adjacent to the IYCA marina, under the old town’s ramparts.
Also within walking distance from Port Vauban, towards Cap d’Antibes is La Salis beach, with a watersport centre.
Further in Cap d’Antibes is Plage de la Garoupe, with crystal clear water.
There is also a nice several km long sandy beach stretch between Juan-les-Pins and Golfe Juan port Camille Rayon.
There are many great walking and hiking options around Antibes. Take the time to explore the lovely old town, and don’t miss the Château Grimaldi, the church of Immaculée Conception or the Commune Libre du Safranier with its flowery narrow streets.

After escaping from the Island of Elba, in 1815, Napoleon landed at Golf Juan where begins the Route Napoleon related to the "100 days of Napoleon". This museum displays an interesting collection of paintings, sculpture and other memorabilia from Napoleon’s era.

The 16th century fortress dominating the Port Vauban can be visited only on guided tours in French or English. The interesting tour lasts about 30min, and the view from the fort on Antibes and the Alps on the other side is just breathtaking. The Fort is surrounded by a 4 acres park open to the public.
