Yvon Icare is a highly experienced and renowned technician, who used to work on Superyachts in the French Riviera. He will service yachts wherever they are on the island, and is an agent for Caterpillar, MAN, IVECO, nanni diesel, ZF drive gear, aifo, and Desalator watermakers; and carries a good stock of spares for all these lines. He can also look after watermaker and electrical repairs, as required. His workshop is located within Artimer facilities in Marin (accessible by tender from the Marina) and last season saw us receiving excellent feedback for his competence and professionalism.

Situated close by marina at Le Marin, this laundry offers either a DIY facility, or 'full service' laundry - where they will do the complete job, including ironing. Opening hours are 0800-1900 Mon-Fri, and from 0800-1400hrs on Wednesday and Saturday.

The very well known French chain of hardware stores has the largest store in the Caribbean - in the commercial zone of Le Lamentin, very close to the airport. Here it is like the ‘Aladdin’s Cave’ for any engineer or crewmember arriving in Martinique, who were not even suspecting that such a facility could exist in the Caribbean. Basically anything can be found there, from tools to bulbs, electrical supplies, deck furniture, lamps, plumbing items… and more.

Douglas Rapier provides top quality provisioning, with direct air freight from France, several times a week, technical support, VIP greeting and ground handling, turnkey medical service with a group of emergency doctors, ABA transfers and banking services, the full range of concierge services… Indeed, Douglas really makes a point in putting Martinique ‘on the map’ as an attractive destination for the professionally crewed yachts. This fuel bunkering service has supplied a large number of Superyachts passing through Martinique in the last few years. They provide the top quality fuel, with extra low sulphur content, at a very competitive rate. Professional and reactive, they can handle last minute orders and deliver with trucks from the commercial harbour in Fort de France. Clippers Ship chandlery, located at the Artimer Zone in Marin, is the largest chandlery in Martinique, offering a a vast range of products for their yachting clientele as well as for maritime professionals. This company is located in the Artimer facility (next to the Incidences sail loft). They came well recommended for their ability to source and supply any new electrical systems / spares... for which they carry a good stock 'in-house'. They can also supply / repair watermaker systems. Manager Thierry Chapelan has been in Martinique for over 13 years, and was said to be very knowledgeable and helpful... as was Cathy, on the front desk.
