This popular Sunday market is well worth the trip, no matter where you are on the island. Bustling with people, the streets come to life with fresh produce stalls, jewellery, clothes, leatherwork, all with a distinct quality feel. Cafes and restaurants get very busy and parking is suddenly scarce!
The island of Kastellorizo depends on the ferry service for many things, including the delivery of food and household goods.
Most of the island restaurants and residents visit the Friday fruit and vegetable market in Kas, Turkey. They now have a household and clothing market on Tuesdays.
Several boats leave from Kastellorizo on Friday and Tuesday, but book your ticket early to reserve your place. Passports must be given in the day before to add you to the transit log.
Open 8.00-20.30 This market is a must see when in Barcelona, and is probably one of the most well known markets in Europe. It might be thought of as a tourist attraction but it is also a very good market in its own right. All the store holders take great pride in the presentation of their displays-of fresh fish, shellfish, meat, herbs, spices, wines, bread and juices, making It a photogenic delight ! There are a great number of take away stalls and popular selection of tapas bars under the classical columns, making a bustling and convivial atmosphere.
Held in front of the church Nuestra Senora del Pilar on Wednesdays and Sundays. A popular tourist attraction and very well known. Formentera also attracted a lot of artists and craftsmen during the hippie days and, in the same fashion as in Ibiza, this tradition has been passed on to the next generation.
Santa Catalina Market
In the Santa Catalina area of town (that is immediately to the west of the old town on Palma harbour across Argentina Avenue), this municipal market is open on weekdays and Saturday mornings. This is mainly a fruit and veg market, but meat and fish are available as well. This is the closest and most convenient market for yachts moored at any of the harbour’s many marinas.

Bigger than the La Boqueria his market seems very authentic due to the lack of tourists. It seels the same produce as La Boqueria but with perhaps a little more choice.
Every Sun morning on the quaysides of the Vieux Port and a smaller one on Tue morning Place Evariste Gras in the old town. Colourful choice of fresh produce, flowers, fish, cheeses, Provencal specialties, fabrics, clothes and more. Very popular for both for locals and visitors.
Place des Lices hosts every Tue and Sat from 7am-1pm, one of the largest and most popular Marché in the whole region, with a great and colourful selection of local produce, cheeses, Provencal delights, clothes, fabrics and more.
Place aux Herbes: Delightful and convivial market for fruits, cut flowers, vegetables and regional produce held every morning at the entrance of the old town.
Don’t miss the very colourful fish market held every morning at the quaint Place aux Herbes, next to the harbour.
The Marché Provencal, located Cour Masséna in the heart of the old town, is held every morning in season.
