'L'Amandine' (opposite the dinghy dock) offers highly rater tarts, pastries, quiches and more. 'Nemorin' (on Boulevard Poissoniers) serves tasty fresh bread, baked in a wood fired oven.
The spa at the Creole Beach Hotel (close to the marina at Gozier) came well recommended this year. With three massage cabins right by the waters edge, the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. Payot treatments, steam baths, a sauna and fitness centre, are just some of the services available. The spa is open from 0900–1300 and from 1500–2100hrs.

Georges and Sylvie Clement, the owners of the highly recommended Tendacayou hotel and Poisson Rouge restaurant have sympathetically built this unique spa to harmonize perfectly with the natural surroundings and to create a stunning garden and spa of absolut peace and tranquility. Designed around a cooling mountain stream, the gentle sound of water soothes the senses and enhances each designated discreet area of peace within the spa gardens.
This charming – and recently completely renovated - hotel is located at the entrance of Ste Anne, one of the nicest villages in Guadeloupe. The setting is quite exceptional, with breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and islands of Marie Gallante and Les Saintes. 32 pleasant bungalows are nestled into the middle of a tropical garden, and the rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. Husband and wife team - Cedric and Julie Santoni - run this newly recommended car rental company. Very aware of the high standards of both service and presentation of the vehicles, they offer only the latest model cars with air-conditioning and auto setting radios. They also offer a unique standard value rate all the year round.

This chandlery, located within the marina close to the North Sails loft; makes a real effort to answer to Superyachts needs. They are agents for Harken, with an extensive choice a very good prices and also represent Lewmar, Wichard / Profurl, Goiot, Spinlock; and have a good stock of rigging hardware, running rigging and ropes (with large diameter), and wire standing rigging (up to 13mm).
Ideally located within the marina of Bas du Fort, Karukera (the original Caribbean Indian name for Guadeloupe) Marine is a very well established chandlery that has been in business for over 35 years! Jean Claude Guisbert is the really lovely gentleman behind the wheel and with his son assisting, they go beyond themselves to ‘make their clients stay in Guadeloupe as easy and enjoyable as possible’.
Pascal Marchais of USHIP is the manager of this large new USHIP store on the Jarry trading estate. They represent the French catalogue - USHIP - and came particularly recommended for their range of well priced water toys and watersports equipment including kayaks, inflatable tows and bananas, diving equipment and fishing gear. USHIP also has a good stock of safety equipment such as liferafts, lifejackets, harnesses, flares and EPIRBS.
Zoo Rock Café has a trendy, fun and relaxed atmosphere. They have live band playing and DJ for late night raving. They also serve good food, especially their famous huge meat or fish kebabs that can be enjoyed on the terrace. The Zoo Rock Café is ideally located within the Marina Bas-du-Fort complex and is open daily from 1900hrs.

Eileen Cookson runs this shop - located at Marina Bas-du-Fort on the water front - that stocks some attractively packaged toiletries and bathroom ware, crew T- shirts / Polo shirts, bush hats and baseball hats, towels, bath robes, and a fine collection of other fun goodies! Marin Art is mainly a dedicated embroidery facility, able to embroider and personalize yacht names / emblems upon demand… on Polo shirts, T-shirts, hats and towels. Eileen’s facility is very well equipped with ‘state of the art’ machines such as transfer and heat presses, for large logos and designs.
Michel Collomb is an experienced customs broker, based in the industrial zone of Jarry (a few minutes drive from the marina), who came rated as being a very useful contact whilst in Guadeloupe. He has helped many yachts in the past years to clear in parts coming from abroad, making sure that everything will go fast and smoothly. Michel Collomb works a lot with Andrew Dove, from North Sails, and Captains may find it convenient to channel an initial enquiry through Andrew.
Based from Pointe a Pitre, this company has been serving the commercial shipping / cruise ship market here for over 100 years. Over the past few years they have since identified the ever growing Superyacht market, and now have a dedicated professional yacht services agent - Gerard Petrelluzzi - there to look after literally anything one might need whilst visiting Guadeloupe. Gerard himself, has been with the company for over 30 years... and has an amazing database of professional marine contacts that he uses to provide a wide range of support services to visiting yachts.

This dive shop located with the Marina Bas du Fort complex (close to North Sail loft) has a good choice of diving equipment and accessories such as dive watches or wetsuits. They are also a full service, repair and refill centre, and are agents for Scuba Pro and Aqua-lung. Beyond this, they also offer equipment rentals of BCD's, tanks and regulators as well as underwater scooters (propulseurs).
The shop is open Tuesday - Saturday from 0900-1230 and 1500-1830hrs.
