A favourite of many visiting yachtsmen – this delightful small restaurant situated overlooking the anchorage of Grand Bourg on the east side has a private dinghy dock. As the name suggests the salads here are their speciality – large in portion and bursting with the freshest garden ingredients. Bookings are advisable and the restaurant is also accessible by the road within walking distance from the town.

Marina Bas du Fort is really becoming a Captain’s favourite, and past years have seen an ever growing number of Superyachts stopping there and a high return rate. Located close to the international airport, beautiful beaches and a great array of technical and provisioning services, it is the ideal centre point for a stay in Guadeloupe. Nice restaurants and shops can be found within the marina, making it a delightful stay for owners and guests.
Familiar to many crews in St.Martin, there is a sister Cheyenne club on Guadeloupe. Located in Gozier town just a short taxi ride from Marina-Bas-du-Fort; this large night club features a chill out lounge and ‘cool’ water features and koi ponds – just look for the large statue of a Cheyenne Indian before the first roundabout as you enter town !
This is one of the most popular crew ‘hang-out’ bars in Marina Bas du Fort. It offers free Wi-Fi and comes recommended as a being a cool bar, as well as for good food and as a late night bar venue too.

This wonderful restaurant, part of La Toubana hotel came recommended for its excellent food and service. The menu is very creative and the plates are artfully decorated. The setting is exceptional, overlooking the ocean, with some distant islands in the back. At night, the beautifully illuminated infinity pool adds to the romantic atmosphere of this gorgeous place.

Guadeloupe has a great amount of variety along its coastlines, offering good surf breaks on the South East and North West Coasts of Grande Terre.
Favourite surf spots are Sainte Anne, Saint Francois, Port Louis, Le Moule and Anse Bertrand. But the best spot is St. Francois, with a very good watersports centre, renting windsurfs, jet skis and kayaks. And of course a great “surfer camp” not to be missed.
Fort Napoleon
This fort built on top of a hill - to protect the island - offers the most beautiful panoramic view of the islands nearby. It is now a museum, open daily, but just the 45minutes hike up there is worth it.
Le Chameau
The highest point on the island - 309 m - which is accessible by a very nice hike of less than 1hour.
