Passionate about classic yachts, Jim owns a wooden International One Design that he restored and races. The carpentry shop is located in Newport  with a team of 15 full time highly qualified carpenters and painters. Their focus is mostly on interior work, although recently completed a major teak deck project on a 140ft yacht, removing the entire deck to install a new one, their fourth such deck.
