Eden Rock

Eden Rock evolved from an imaginatively sited house built more than fifty years ago by local adventurer Remy De Haenen, to become a few years later the first hotel on the island. Part of the prestigious ‘Relais et Chateaux’ group, this delightful resort is set on a rock, right above the water in the Baie de Saint-Jean on the edge of a perfect long white sandy beach. It also has two fine restaurants (one on the beach, and one on top of 'the rock' with a view)... that also came highly recommended (reservations requested).

Auberge de la Petite Anse

Lovely family run hotel rated as being one of the very best value on the island. All the rooms have an amazing view of Petite Anse, a wonderful little cove with turquoise blue waters, where the only sound to be heard in this secluded place, is that of the surf. All the spacious rooms have been recently restored and offer all the comfort one could wish for, along with a nice terrace to have breakfast or meals in front of the ocean, with a fully equipped kitchen. Local owner Suger Greaux is a highly friendly gentleman and speaks good English.

Sunset Hotel

Sunset Hotel is a crew first choice for its convenient location overlooking Gustavia Harbor within short walking distance of the yachts and its very good value. Besides its clean and comfortable rooms, the other asset of the hotel is the warm welcoming of manager Jean Pierre. The hotel features a kitchen to share, with tables on a large terrace, making the perfect occasion to socialize and meet new friends! Please note that Sunset Hotel has one of the highest occupation rates on the island, so reservations in advance are strongly recommended!

La Presqu'ile

This hotel - located right on the waterfront in Gustavia harbour in direction of La Pointe - came highly recommended as being great, simple, sensibly priced accommodation for crew. It is particularly popular during the Bucket race… so book early !

La Maison de L'Ilet Oscar

This is a private island - with a beautiful colonial guest house, 4 bedrooms (with fans), a private pontoon, restaurant and bar. La Maison de L'Ilet Oscar came highly recommended by a number of yachts again last season, who had sailed down the windward side of the island - with owners / guests aboard, and then anchored in the calm waters inside the reef... accessing the island with their tender. The guests had then thoroughly enjoyed the good food at the restaurant, and the privacy and seclusion of the island... "as a wonderful place to stop and relax. “The perfect getaway...

Plein Soleil

This heavenly hideaway, located in the country hillside of Le Francois, on the Atlantic coast is one of the nicest hotel / guest houses in Martinique. They have recently undergone a complete transformation, and the existing accommodations in Creole cases (cottages), painted red, purple, and subtle earth tones, have been enlarged, soundproofed, completely refurnished, and given updated bathrooms and terraces that maximize the glorious sea view.

Cap Est Lagoon Resort & Spa

This highly acclaimed 'Relais & Chateaux' resort is located in Le Francois (about 35 minutes from the airport, and 25 minutes from Marin Marina on the Atlantic side) and came rated as being the most luxurious hotel in Martinique. Nestled in a tropical garden facing the coral reef barrier of the lagoon, it boasts 50 suites located in bungalows and decorated with colourful interiors made of natural materials. Some suites have their own pool and a gorgeous outdoor shower.

Residence des Iles

For any crewmembers looking for a break, or shoreside accommodation whilst their yacht is hauled; the smart  Residence des Iles really does make an excellent option, and is highly recommended by yacht crews and guests. The 17 apartments - within walking distance of the marina at Le Marin - are in beautifully clean 'new' condition, with great views overlooking the harbour. The apartments are available in 3 different room styles to suit one's accommodation needs, from 1-2 persons, 2-4, or 4-6 accordingly.
