Carib Waterplay is THE place for any windsurfing need. Jean Michel runs his business, ideally located on the beautiful beach of St Jean (next to La Plage restaurant) since 1983. As an excellent windsurfer himself, he keeps updated on all the latest technology and always offers a choice of high tech and brand new equipment for all levels, from beginners boards with a lot of buoyancy… to ‘sinkers’ for advanced clients. St Jean is the perfect spot for all levels, with a protected lagoon and nice waves behind the reef. They offer lessons for any lever and rentals from one hour to long term.

Last year saw us receiving an enthusiastic round of recommendations from numerous yacht crewmembers and guests alike for Enguerrand Espinassou and his kite surfing school. Enguerrand Espinassou is a certified instructor in St. Barth, with international and French diplomas, and one of the first and best French kitesurfers around. With now over 13 years of experience in teaching this exciting sport, he offers private classes for all levels, from 9 years old up, and packages of 3 to 5 sessions accompanying his students with a boat and VHF assistance.

Gerard has over 22 years of experience as a certified physiotherapist and chiropractor. As the only chiropractor on the island, he looks after all chiro treatments, and also provides complementary massages and especially deep tissues massage. Very service orientated, Gerard can adapt his schedule to his patient’s convenience.Gerard is available for house calls on board or in private villas. A sailor himself, he first arrived in St. Barth on a yacht, and is extremely popular amongst the many yachts he has worked with. He is friendly and speaks very good English.

A former hair stylist, Francoise decided to specialise in nail design, the art of which she had perfected following a training by Alessandro at the Institut Laugier in Paris, and then by twelve years perfecting her skills in her own salon. She now offers a most specialized ‘nail’ service which includes manicures, pedicures, gel nails using colour, and permanent French manicures.

The salon is located in Petite Saline, though Francoise will travel to hotels, villas and yachts as requested, and she also has a contract with the Eden Rock Hotel.

Located in the heart of Gustavia, on the Rue de la Republique - just a short walk from the port – this beauty and wellness spa is run by Anne Picard. She offers a wide range of beauty treatments at the Venus Spa, for both men and women, including facial and body treatments, massage, hand and feet care and waxing, to name but a few! A small hair salon further enhances the services and treatments available at this excellent new beauty spa. At the request of her clients, Anne and her team will also make private visits to yachts or villas for both spa and hair treatments.

Teck is a truly delightful store located on Rue Samuel Fahlberg in Gustavia (at the head of the harbour). They have a wonderful selection of furniture and antiques from Indonesia and Asia, as well as exquisite decoration items, such as lamps, shells, wooden frames, sculpture… They specialize in teak (noted for its exceptional longevity and ability to cope with dry or wet spells), and have designed a whole line of furniture specifically for this noble, elegant and durable wood.
